HHS’ Levine discusses climate change and hospitals’ role

Department of Health and Human Services’ Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Rachel Levine, M.D., who leads the department’s Office of Climate Change and Health Equity, yesterday discussed the Administration’s efforts, including working with hospitals and health systems, to address the impact of climate change on the health of the American people. Levine said the health care sector is “making real advances” in reducing its carbon footprint with leadership from the AHA, and shared examples of hospitals and health systems that are leaders in these efforts.
