HHS extends American Rescue Plan deadline by one year

The Department of Health and Human Services today announced that states have an additional year to use American Rescue Plan funds for Medicaid beneficiaries. States originally had a three-year period through March 2024 to use available ARP funds, which is now extended through March 31, 2025. In addition, HHS updated reporting requirements, effective immediately, for Medicaid expenditures for home and community-based services spending narrative submissions from every other quarter to semi-annually.
