CMS issues FAQ on No Surprises Act requirements

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services yesterday released Frequently Asked Questions regarding No Surprises Act implementation. The FAQs address both the prohibitions on the use of Notice and Consent as well as the narrow circumstances when a provider could seek a patient’s consent to waiver their balance billing protections. In addition, the FAQs provide further examples of the types of providers that are subject to the balance billing prohibitions.
